Using Windows 10 vs Using 9OS-PRO.2021
I am a happy clappy shiny Windows user and although I admire your Privacy Project I don’t like Linux. Can I please, pretty please, use the 9OS-Anonymization Server Backend with Windows 10?
Mr. B. Gaetes
Dear Mr. B. Gaetes,
Yes, you can access/use our Server Backend with Windows 10
but what you should really do is purchase your own copy of the
USB-stick instead, since a RAM-ONLY-OS Environment such as 9OS-PRO.2021 offers REAL Privacy whereas using a disk based OS (such as Windows 10) at best offers pseudo-anonimity.
Having offered you my most sincere advice as an ethically inclined engineer, the two videos below demonstrate how to use the 9OS Server Backend SQUID – proxy environment with Windows 10, making a 4096 – bits VPN Connection to our Highly Secure VPN – server backend and pointing your Browser to our Centralized Squid Proxy (10.8.0.1:8124) which runs on top of a DNSMasQ – database programmed to intercept/block more than 4.000.000 (four million) threats to Your Online Privacy.
In order to use our 9OS-Server-Anonymization-Backend with Windows 10 and/or Windows Server all you need to do is purchase a 1-Year SecPurSang VPN-Client Certificate which will be made available to you in the shape of an .ovpn – configuration file. This 1-Year SecPurSang VPN-Client Certificate .ovpn – configuration file is fully compatible with Windows Client/Server environments (such as Windows 10) using OpenVPN-Client Software.
Our VPN Server Backend has been tested with all existing Windows OpenVPN – clients between 2.4.7 and the most recent Windows OpenVPN client 3.2.3.x.
Let’s take a look at using our 9OS Anonymization Server Backend with OpenVPN 2.4.7 while using the Newest Available Windows 10 Version (May 2021 Update, version “21H1”):
Let’s take a look at using our 9OS Anonymization Server Backend with OpenVPN 3.2.3.x with the Newest Available Windows 10 Version (May 2021 Update, version “21H1”):
In short using our 9OS server backend with Windows 10 takes three (3) simple steps:
- Install the Windows OpenVPN – client (2.4.7 and upwards)
- Purchase a 1-Year SecPurSang VPN-Client Certificate in our Web Shop and copy it into the right OpenVPN Folder location and/or import it into the OpenVPN Client Software as demonstrated in the above two videos.
- Point your Browser and/or Proxy – software to 10.8.0.1:8124 and you’re done. (IP address => 10.8.0.1, TCP port => 8124).
NOTE: The Option to Purchase a Windows Client/Server compatible 1-Year SecPurSang VPN-Client Certificate for use with Windows OpenVPN Client Software (Version 2.4.7 and upwards) is now available in our Web Shop.
